The location of the boundary between freehold or private land and the rivers.

Tree Canopy contains polygons outlining the extent of tree cover for all land within the City of Calgary. The tree canopy was derived by Remote Sensing software using City of Calgary Orthophotos and Lidar. The resulting data was then quality controlled and edited using various photogrammetric and processing tools.
TREE_CANOPY_2022 was created by updating TREE_CANOPY_2020 photogrammetrically using the 2022 Digital Aerial Survey (DAS) aerial imagery. Trees and large shrub areas over 2m tall are captured in this dataset.

The Impervious Surface 2021 dataset is a collection of polygon features derived from Calgary Digital Aerial Survey mapping linework which have been determined as impervious. Impervious surfaces are defined as any material which will seal the soil surface, impede water infiltration, collect solar heat or deprive tree or vegetation roots of aeration. Impervious surfaces effect many aspects of our City, including storm run off volumes, pollutant concentrations and drainage. The City must understand and manage the amount of impervious surfaces carefully to ensure the ongoing health and vitality of the municipality and the environment. These inundation maps show whether a property is at risk for various sized river floods. The size of flood shown on this map has a 1/50 or a 2% chance of occurring in any year.
The three distinct types of inundation shown on the maps are:
o Inundation - Area flooded overland due to riverbank overtopping.
o Isolated - Low lying areas that will not be wet from riverbank overtopping, but may experience groundwater seepage or stormwater backup.
o Protected - Area protected by a permanent flood barrier.
The flood areas shown are based on Alberta Environment and Parks most recent (2020) inundation maps. There is uncertainty inherent in predicting the effects of flood events, and this uncertainty increases for floods with less than a 1% chance of occurrence in any year. Any use of this data must recognizing the uncertainty with regards to the exact location and extent of flooding.

This dataset is derived from BenchmarkYYC and contains annual, aggregated building energy and emissions data categorized by primary property type. All energy and greenhouse gas emission metrics are calculated by ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

All cells containing zeros signify that zero is the calculated value for that cell. All blank cells represent data points that are "not available" because they do not exist or cannot be calculated.

The energy and emissions data fields that are collected are subject to change each reporting year.

All energy and greenhouse gas emission metrics are calculated by ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager using monthly, whole-building energy consumption data billed between January 1st and December 31st.

All blank cells in the dataset correspond to data points that are "not available" because they do not exist or cannot be calculated.”

This dataset identifies the Natural Water Bodies on lands under Calgary Parks Stewardship. It can be a flowing type of water i.e. STREAM or some type of body of water i.e. NATURAL POND. Types of WATER BODIES are: CREEK – CONSTRUCTION, NATURAL CREEK OR STREAM, NATURAL RIVER, OXBOW, NATURAL LAKE, NATURAL POND, SPRING, and WETLAND.
