This dataset makes historical air quality data accessible for various parameters at Calgary monitoring stations. The data is collected by the Calgary Region Airshed Zone and submitted to Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP). The data is delivered to the airdata warehouse, a central repository for Alberta's ambient air quality data via a web service provided by AEP. In this way, AEP provides access to quality controlled historical air quality data at its air quality stations.
In addition to air quality monitoring data, an Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) is calculated hourly at certain monitoring stations. The AQHI is a simple way to interpret air quality conditions: it provides a number from 1 to 10+ which indicates the relative health risk associated with local air quality. This dataset demonstrates an optimal size of PV system to be installed on a rooftop area. It is an analysis of residential rooftops (excluding apartment complexes) to estimate a potential capacity of a PV installation. The analysis uses LiDAR data taken in 2018 to estimate solar irradiance and roof shape to estimate the number of 1m x 2m solar panels. This data is then used with PVWatts API created by NREL to estimate the annual AC generated per panel. Each address has one or more entries each representing a continuous area where panels could be installed.

This is a generalized version of the data set and is intended for cartographic purposes and faster drawing time.

This dataset contains results for the City of Calgary's Watershed Monitoring Program. The program monitors surface water quality across a network of sites that include rivers, tributaries, and reservoirs within the Calgary region. Sampling locations have been added, removed, or modified over time. Grab sampling methodologies are used for sample collection.

The City of Calgary uses approved and documented analytical testing methodologies, and the City of Calgary laboratory is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. Quality Assurance programs track and ensure consistent laboratory performance. Changes in data over time, such as method detection limits, accredited testing parameters, and formatting are the result of newer analytical techniques and improved data quality standards.
