Data is provided monthly by the Calgary Police Service. The dataset is updated by the 10th of every month. For example, January statistics will be available after February 10. Disorder events included are: Drunk, Disturbance, Indecent Act, Juvenile Complaint, Landlord/tenant, Mental health concern, Neighbor dispute, Party complaint, Prowler, Suspicious person, Threats, Drugs, Noise complaint, Possible gunshots, Unwanted guest/patron, Prostitution, Speeder, Suspicious Auto (grouped as Social Disorder), Fire, Property damage and Abandoned auto (grouped as Physical Disorder. Crime count is based on the most serious violation (MSV) per incident. Violence: These figures include all violent crime offences as defined by the Centre for Canadian Justice Statistics Universal Crime Reporting (UCR) rules. Domestic violence is excluded. Break and Enter: Residential B&E includes both House and ‘Other’ structure break and enters due to the predominantly residential nature of this type of break in (e.g. detached garages, sheds). B&Es incidents include attempts.

This dataset lists the maximum speed limits throughout Calgary. It does not list the default residential speed limit of 40 km/hr, which is being reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h effective May 31, 2021. This dataset is used for identification and is not considered an official record of speed limits for any given time. It is not used for enforcement purposes.

Community boundaries for the City of Calgary

A water service pipe, also known as a water service line, is the way drinking water is delivered to each home in Calgary. The water service pipe can be thought of as two sections:
(1) From the water main to the property line: This part of the pipe is owned and maintained by The City of Calgary.
(2) From the property line to your house: This part of the pipe is owned and maintained by the homeowner.
The data shown here only relates to the portion of the water service pipe on public property, owned and operated by The City. The material on private property can be a different material, and could have been installed at a different time. The data shown on this map is subject to change due to parcel re-development or The City repair/maintenance activities. The Alberta Township File identifies land (section, township, range) in a grid format known as Dominion Land Survey (DLS) system. It is a graphic representation of these section boundaries (approximately 1 mile X 1 mile). The file contains Section Boundary, Section Name, Original Road Allowance and Quarter Section attribute information.

The polygons in this file represent the section boundaries determined in 1997 by examination and review of all registered legal plans in The City of Calgary. Each section within the city limits are defined by eight quarter section pins and also boundary cadastral stations. The line work was created in 2006 from data which was formally released to The City in 1997.
