Wastewater Treatment Plants Effluent Water Quality Data based on the monthly reporting to Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. 2007 to present.

This dataset contains results from the City of Calgary's Wastewater Treatment Plants that are reported monthly to Alberta Environment and Protected Areas. Results include laboratory and flow data for the wastewater treatment plants’ treated effluents, 2007 to present. Sampling locations have been added, removed, or modified over time. All laboratory results have been determined from the daily 24-hour composite samples, with the exception of Fecal Coliforms which are determined from the grab sampling.

The City of Calgary uses approved and documented analytical testing methodologies, and the City of Calgary laboratory is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. Quality Assurance programs track and ensure consistent laboratory performance. Changes in data over time, such as method detection limits, accredited testing parameters, and formatting are the result of newer analytical techniques and improved data quality standards.
