The City Limits or boundaries are the jurisdictional extents of the city of Calgary. They are governed by provincial board orders, provincial reports prepared following the hearing and approval of a petition for annexation. The city limits are only changed as a result of a board order of the Municipal Government Board.

This is a polygon dataset that represents the area defined as the Transportation and Utility Corridor or TUC. The TUC is a developmental constraint.

These maps provide landfill setback information as defined under the Municipal Government Act (MGA) Subdivision and Development Regulation (SDR) Landfill Setback (Section 13) from a City of Calgary Landfill or Waste Management Facility (WMF). The file contains the landfill setbacks for the following City of Calgary Landfills: East Calgary WMF, Shepard WMF, Spyhill WMF, Blackfoot Landfill, Highfield Landfill, Manchester Landfill, Nose Creek Landfill, Ogden Landfill, and Springbank Landfill. Tree Canopy contains polygons outlining the extent of tree cover for all land within the City of Calgary. The tree canopy was derived by Remote Sensing software using City of Calgary Orthophotos and Lidar. The resulting data was then quality controlled and edited using various photogrammetric and processing tools.
